Alfred Vitelli - 1st Generation

Alfred immigrated to this country from Italy in 1902. He was a stonecutter in Italy and continued his trade working at the former Rollstone Quarry in Fitchburg. He established Vitelli Memorials working out of a small shed on Dumais Street in Fitchburg, MA.

Mitchell Vitelli - 2nd Generation

Was a well known businessman in Fitchburg. He apprenticed under his father, Alfredo, and learned to hand cut and carve monuments. He moved the business to its current location on Lunenburg Street.

Anthony Vitelli - 3rd Generation

Started working with his father, Mitchell, in 1952.  He designed and created many of the fine monuments and civic memorials in New England and locally.

Mitchell Vitelli - 4th Generation

Mitchell has worked in the industry since 1981 and became sole owner in 1996. He led the family business until 2025, when his son took over, carrying on the Vitelli tradition of creating top-quality monuments and civic memorials.

Nicholas Vitelli - 5th Generation

Nick has worked alongside his father full time since 2012, learning every aspect of the industry. Skilled in engraving, a trade passed down from his father, and educated in memorial design and layout, Nick took over the family business in 2025, carrying the Vitelli tradition into the next generation.
