The selection of a monument is to honor the life of a loved one. We express the lives of our loved ones through symbols. These symbols can be produced on the monument using a number of techniques.
- Sandblast Carving - This technique is the most popular used. Skilled artisans using state of the art equipment deeply cut, sculpt and shape the design/symbol chosen into the granite.
- Etching or Painted Etching - This technique allows for great detail in the design/symbol. Our artists are the most skillful and qualified in the area. Like an artist painting a picture on a canvas, the picture is etched on the granite using a dremel and electrosylist. With this technique paint may be applied to enhance the picture.
There is a wide variety of granites available in both domestic and imported. Here is where you will need to be careful. Be sure to select a granite that will endure the test of time. Inferior granite may become blotchy and discolor as time goes by. We at Vitelli Monument use only the finest select granites available. These granites are backed by our lifetime guarantee.
There are many different shapes and sizes of monuments. We offer an assortment to choose from including the popular heart, double heart, oval, half serp and teardrop. Most cemeteries have regulations to the size of monuments allowed. At Vitelli Monument we will advise you of these regulations.
We have many styles of lettering to choose from. We will work with you to select a style that fits best with the design of your monument. For those who wish, we also offer gold leaf lettering.
Remembering loved ones by having their picture placed on the monument will allow them to live on in the minds of future generations. Pictures bring back wonderful memories. You may wish to have your favorite photograph permanently transferred onto a ceramic molded frame in a shatter-proof polymer.
